What is book fishing? It’s what I like to call “finding/buying good books” in places other than bookstores or online stores.
I like book fishing. A lot. Don’t ask me why. I just do. Book fairs, mostly. Yard sales, occasionally. Tonight, I went to an annual Ottawa book fair. Earlier last week, I had prepared a short list of authors I would look out for. Well, I caught some pretty good books tonight! I got my hands on a few of Stephen King’s best horror novels (and also one of his short story collections), I also got Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451”, one novel from Ursula K. Le Guin, a Nebula Award short story collection and a book on Leadership.
Oh, and another great catch: Ernest Hemingway’s “In Our Time”, which I believe is his very first collection of short stories!
