For those who might have forgotten to set their clocks one hour back this weekend, check out this amazing movie trailer:

EndersGame_poster The movie adapatation of Orson Scott Card’s novel “Ender’s Game” is coming to the big screen on November 1st, 2013. I had not yet read the book and I wanted to do so before watching the film. It’s a good thing I did because I really enjoyed it!

Synopsis:
Aliens have attacked Earth twice and almost destroyed the human species. To make sure humans win the next encounter, the world government has taken to breeding military geniuses–and then training them in the arts of war… The early training, not surprisingly, takes the form of ‘games’… Ender Wiggin is a genius among geniuses; he wins all the games… He is smart enough to know that time is running out. But is he smart enough to save the planet?

This novel won both Hugo and Nebula awards.

Here is an excerpt I really like from chapter 14 – Ender’s Teacher
“I am your enemy, the first one you’ve ever had who was smarter than you. There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you where he is strong. And the rules of the game are that you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on I am your teacher.”

I’m looking forward to seeing the movie. Below are the links to see the movie trailers. Enjoy!

This movie trailer has just been released. I have Steve Jobs’s biography (written by Walter Isaacson), but I haven’t had the chance to read it yet. The movie will most likely be released before I read the biography…!

Oh, one more thing. If you’ve never heard Jobs’s 2005 University of Stanford commencement address speach, I recommend you watch it. Ever since I’ve watched it, I know that whatever happens in my life, I will understand why later… by connecting the dots backwards.

When I was a kid, I played with LEGOS a lot. I loved LEGOS. I still have old pictures of myself as a kid playing with my LEGO astronauts and their spaceships. I just watched The LEGO® Movie trailer. Ah… it brings back so many good memories of my childhood!

This looks like a cool upcoming action/drama/science fiction television series. Karl Urban stars in it (he played Doctor McKoy in Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)).

ALMOST HUMAN is a high-tech, high-stakes action drama set 35 years in the future, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. An unlikely partnership is forged when a part-machine cop is forced to pair with a part-human robot as they fight crime and investigate a deeper cover-up in a futuristic new world.

“I believe in you, Jim.”

I really can’t wait to see it!

“Just good old-fashioned revenge.”

Iron Man 3: new poster

Awesome!
(Why do we see several other Iron Man suits flying behind Tony Stark? Does this mean all his other suits can auto-fly?)

We all know there have been several Superman movies so far: the older movies with the late Christopher Reeve and Superman Returns (2006) with Brandon Routh. The TV series: Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993-1997) with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher; Smallville (2001-2011) with Tom Welling. And the numerous animated movies and TV series…

This summer, we will get another look at how the Superman myth came to be with the most recent movie: Man of Steel (release date in Canada: June 14, 2013). I’ve always enjoyed watching Superman movies/TV shows, so I am looking forward to seeing this upcoming movie.

Official Teaser Trailer: Jonathan Kent (narrated by Kevin Costner who plays Jonathan Kent, superman’s human father) — I love the soundtrack!

Official Teaser Trailer: Jor-El (narrated by Russell Crowe who plays Jor-El, superman’s biological father)
